Irewolede LCDA Boss, Bakare Congratulates Oyebanji on Landmark Victory

The Executive Chairman of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Mrs.) Dupe Bakare, has congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his resounding victory in the just-concluded Ekiti State governorship election held on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

In a congratulatory message, Hon. Bakare described the governor’s overwhelming mandate as a clear reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in his administration by the people of the state, owing to his remarkable achievements during his first term in office, particularly in the areas of workers’ welfare, infrastructural development, agriculture, youth empowerment, and other people-centred programmes.

She noted that Governor Oyebanji’s cordial relationship with traditional rulers, political leaders, religious bodies, artisans, market women, youths, and other critical stakeholders across the state greatly contributed to his electoral success.

According to the council boss, “The outcome of this election is a strong endorsement of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s inclusive style of leadership, outstanding performance, and unwavering commitment to the development of Ekiti State. The people have spoken clearly through the ballot, affirming their desire for continuity, stability, and sustained progress.”

Bakare expressed profound gratitude to the people of Irewolede LCDA and members of staff of the council for their unwavering support, dedication, and commitment, which ensured excellent participation and optimal performance during the election.

She further stated that Governor Oyebanji has written his name in gold as a political jinx-breaker, having become the first governor in Ekiti State to secure a second consecutive term in office through victories across all the sixteen local government areas of the state.

“His historic victory across the sixteen local government areas is unprecedented and clearly demonstrates the widespread acceptance of his administration. It is a testament to his humility, accessibility, and the impactful governance he has provided over the years,” she added.

Hon. Bakare concluded by describing the governorship election as one of the most peaceful and credible elections ever conducted in Ekiti State and urged residents to continue supporting Governor Oyebanji as he begins another term of purposeful, people-oriented, and transformational leadership.

She prayed for divine wisdom, sound health, and greater accomplishments for the governor as he continues to steer Ekiti State towards greater heights.
