The Executive Chairman of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon.(Mrs) Dupe Bakare has felicitated with Christians in the LCDA and across Nigeria on the occasion of Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Hon. Bakare appreciated the Almighty God for the prevailing peace, unity, and love within the council area. She noted that the prayers and sacrifices made during the lenten period will not go unanswered and charged Christian to allow the teaching of Jesus Christ, love, peace, and compassion to reflect in their daily lives for the continued growth and development of the council.
She emphasized that the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus Christ was for the redemption of humanity, urging Christians to sustain their abiding faith in God and promote peace, unity, love and virtues that enhance the progress of the country.
Hon. Bakare also encouraged the people not to lose hope, stating that no matter the challenges faced by individuals or the nation, they are temporary, which will eventually passed. She urged believers to place their trust in God and remain steadfast in their faith
The council boss seized the opportunity to seek continuous prayers and support for Ekiti State governor,Mr. Biodun Oyebanji to come victorious in 2026 election.
She wished all Christian a joyful, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Easter celebration.
