Ijero LG Legislators Commend Hon. Dupe Bakare’s Developmental Strides in Irewolede LCDA

The Leader of the Ijero Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Taiwo Mayowa, has lauded the Executive Chairperson of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Mrs.) Dupe Bakare, for her impactful developmental projects across the council area.

Hon. Mayowa gave the commendation on Tuesday when he led other members of the legislative arm on an oversight visit to the Irewolede LCDA Secretariat in Iloro-Ekiti.

The visit featured an inspection tour of various ongoing and completed projects within the council premises, including the construction of a new administrative building, solar-powered lights, construction of culverts and a bridge, as well as newly acquired security equipment for law enforcement agencies.

Expressing satisfaction with what they observed, Hon. Mayowa praised the Chairperson for her commitment to good governance and community development.

“What we saw here today showed the level of your dedication and commitment to work. We are very proud of you”. He said.

During the visit, the lawmakers also briefed the Chairperson on their legislative agenda, including ongoing efforts to enact new bylaws aimed at enhancing governance in the council area and sought her input as well as collaboration in the law-making process.

In her response, Hon. Bakare appreciated the legislators for the visit and described the legislative arm as a vital component of democratic governance.

She emphasised the importance of synergy between the executive and legislative arms to achieve meaningful development.

The Irewolede LCDA boss expressed the belief that working together would help to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people, assuring the lawmakers of her continuous support and cooperation.
