International Women’s Day: Hon. Dupe Bakare Eulogizes Ekiti First Lady, Predecessors,Others.

The Executive Chairperson of Irewolede Local Council Development Area,Hon. (Mrs) Dupe Bakare has joined the global community to celebrate International Women’s Day, today Saturday,March 8,2025.

In her message to mark the 2025 IWD,Hon. Bakare acknowledged extraordinary contributions of Ekiti First Lady,Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji,her predecessors,Erelu Fayemi and Erelu Angela Adebayo,to women development in Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.

“On this auspicious day of the celebration of women, for their impact in governance, society, and family, I celebrate our touch bearer, H.E the 1st Lady of Ekiti State, an Associate Prof. Olayemi Olajumoke Oyebanji for not leaving any of the women behind regardless of their age, literacy level or societal status. Who has also created an avenue for women to excell in various position of authority in Ekiti State.

Also, the immediate past 1st Lady, H.E. Erelu Olabisi Adeleye-Fayemi, for her advocacy in ensuring that women’s voices are heard and the rights of women are protected.

To H.E Prof Modupe Adelabu, a successful academician and a role model in present-day politics.

Shout out to Chief Mrs. Ronke Okusanya-Iya awa omo kekeke, for her readiness to promote women’s course at all seasons.

To our foundation, Mother H.E Erelu Angela Adebayo, thank you for the good foundation that you prepared for Ekiti women; posterity will forever be kind to you.

The Council Boss reiterated her administration’s commitment to devote more resources to the development of women and Youths, stressing that women and Youths are the most critical groups that top her developmental agenda in the LCDA.

Bakare called on all stakeholders to come together and create a safe and supportive environment for women to thrive, promised to continue to prioritise the welfare of women and the people of the LCDA in her quest to consolidate the achievement of governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administraion.
