The Executive Chairman of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon.( Mrs) Dupe Bakare has expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the prompt release of funds aimed at addressing security challenges at the grassroots.
She made this known at the council Secretariat during the June edition of the peace and intelligence meeting,where some equipment were distributed to the security agencies across the LCDA.
The meeting had in attendance all heads of security agencies across the Six communities that make up Irewolede LCDA
In his remarks , the Head of Local Government Administration (HLA) Mr Babatunde Vincent, also lauded the Governor’s swift response to the council security needs. He charged the beneficiaries of the security incentives to make effective use of the materials provided stating to whom much is given much is expected
At the meeting , representatives of the security agencies were urged to remain vigilant and proactive in providing adequate security to the people in order to safeguard their lives and properties.
Security equipment distributed at the event by the council chairman included motorcycles, sirens, raincoats, cutlasses , torchlights and batteries, motor tyres, bicycle tyres,among other essential items
Dignitaries present at the meeting included the vice chairman, Hon Samson Kolawole, secretary to the Local Government (SLG). Hon Adebo Adewale, HLA, Mr Babatunde Vincent, Director of Administration,Mr Oladele Olutoyin, and representatives from the Nigeria Police department of State services (DSS), Nigeria security and civil Defense corps (NSCDC) , Nigeria Hunters, Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) ,Peace Corps, Amotekun corps and Agro Rangers
