The Executive Chairman of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Mrs.) Dupe Bakare, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on the prestigious award conferred on him by Leadership Newspaper as the Best Governor of the Year 2025.
In a statement released on Thursday, Hon. Bakare described the Governor as a man of integrity, focus, and strong commitment to the development of Ekiti State, noting that his achievements continue to speak volumes.
She observed that Governor Oyebanji’s developmental strides have positively impacted all local government areas across the state.
According to her, the relative peace currently enjoyed in Ekiti is largely attributable to the Governor’s unwavering commitment to security, particularly through strengthened border surveillance and proactive safety measures.
The Council boss further stated that the recognition would serve as motivation for the Governor to intensify developmental projects and implement more people-oriented programmes throughout the state.
Hon. Bakare also emphasized that the cordial relationship between the government and the people has significantly enhanced governance, enabling the Governor to better understand and address the challenges facing residents.
She wished the Governor continued success in his efforts to deliver sustainable growth and improved welfare for the people of Ekiti State.
