Monthly Security and Intelligence Committee Meeting of Irewolede Local Council Development Area,March edition,was held today,24th March,2025 at the council secretariat. It was presided over by the council chairman,Hon.(Mrs) Dupe Bakare.
Security agencies, including Nigerian Police, Department of State Security (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC), Amotekun Corps, Peace Corps, Nigeria Vigilante Group, Nigeria Hunters and Agro Marshall were all in attendance.
The meeting was also attended by the secretary to the council,Hon. Adewale Adebo, Director of Administration,Mr. Oladele Olatoye and DDA,Mr. Akintade.
In her welcome address,the council boss,Hon. Bakare commended the security officers for maintaining law and order within the LCDA and her neighbouring communities.
As the El-el-fitri and Easter’s holiday approaches, Bakare enjoined the security men to beef up security across the LCDA and her boundaries.
She also enjoined them to up their game, particularly in the area of intelligence gathering, assured them of her continued support.
The security agents in their separate reports, said the month under review has been relatively peaceful across the LCDA. They said they were able to tackle minor incident that occurred during the period.
