The Executive Chairman of Irewolede LCDA Hon (Mrs) Dupe Bakare has joined her counterparts across Ekiti State to celebrate this year festival of arts and culture at Ekiti parapo pavilion, Ado Ekiti
The programme which kick off very early in the morning on Tuesday was witnessed by high profile personalities across the state including Royal fathers , chiefs, representatives of government at the grassroot and other States etc
The Irewolede Council chairman, Hon.Bakare who led the council cultural troupe during the march past display were in unique attire like their counterparts across the sixteen local government and Twenty two local council development areas in Ekiti State
The programme exposed the people to know that the Arts and Cultural festival has nothing to do with idol worshipping contrary to the insinuation of some people who believe that the programme is purely worship of idol.
The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Her Excellency Dr.(Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji and the commissioner for Arts and Culture appreciated the good people of Ekiti State for their large turned out for this year 2024 festival of Arts and Culture (EKIFEST)
They said further that next year EKIFEST will be more colourful than this.
