The Executive Chairman of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Mrs.) Dupe Bakare, has congratulated workers across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s May Day celebration, applauding their invaluable and impactful contributions to national development.
In her goodwill message,Bakare commended and appreciated the unwavering support of the Irewolede LCDA workforce, describing them as committed, diligent, and industrious in the discharge of their duties.
She described workers as the engine room of development, emphasizing that their dedication, resilience, and commitment remain critical to the growth and stability of the nation’s economy.
Hon. Bakare further commended the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his worker-friendly policies, particularly the prompt payment of salaries and the consistent organization of seminars, trainings, and workshops aimed at enhancing workers’ productivity and efficiency.
According to the Chairman, the Governor’s strong and cordial relationship with labour union leaders since assuming office have significantly contributed to the creation of a peaceful and conducive working environment across the state.
She therefore urged workers in Ekiti State to reciprocate the Governor’s goodwill by supporting his re-election bid in the June 20, 2026 governorship election.
Bakare concluded by affirming that Governor Oyebanji remains a tested and trusted leader who committed to the welfare of workers and the overall development of Ekiti State.
